Florida Election 2010
The election results of the 2010 Florida primary elections are not in yet. Representative Kendrick Meek, has won the primary over the political upstart Jeff Greene, who had a gigantic ad budget. This particular primary was one of the more bitter ones in this country.
It has been a frustrating day in Florida for many people. Between the generally negative campaigns being run, the rain, and the bomb scare, voters were a bit stressed. Florida will announce the results of its primaries, which will include a handful of high profile races, including the democratic battle for a U.S. Senate run and who will be representing the GOP when we elect a new governor.
At one polling station at a recreation center in Brevard county, a suspicious package shut down voting for several hours as the building in Merritt Island was evacuated. Voters were then redirected to a separated voting station to cast their ballots for the US Senate and Governor.
